Saturday was a busy day. I took my Mia Maids to breakfast at Kneaders because it was 2 of their birthdays this week. While I was gone, my mom and dad took the kids to Rotary Park for an Easter Egg hunt, which apparently was over in about 20 seconds. Then we had a picnic with my family at Battle Creek park in PG, and had another easter egg hunt. (My parents felt bad that the kids didn't get very much at the first one) Well that afternoon we went to ANOTHER easter egg hunt at Dan's cousin's house. SP-OI-LED!!!!
Sunday morning the kids woke up and found their baskets. We tried to cram as many practical things we could into them this year. Then we hurried and got ready for church, which we were late to, as always. When we got there, everyone was crying and we thought, "wow, it must be a good Easter lesson" but the people in front of us let us know that the little 5 year old boy down the street had passed away last night. We were shocked. I visit teach his mom and we went a couple of weeks ago. He seemed his cute little quite perfect little self. But apparently not. He had a bloody nose that wouldn't stop, so his parents took him in and found out he had leukimia. He then had a stroke, and they had to shut down life support at like 12:01 Easter morning. It was a very sad Sunday. Isaac had known him well, they were in preschool together and he had just gone to his birthday party a couple of months ago. It just makes you so thankful for what you have, because you never know what will happen. Needless to say, we have been squeezing our kids a little longer and harder and praying for continued health. No parent should have to go through the heartache of losing a child. I am just so grateful that we have the gospel in our lives, because I can't imagine having to go through something like that not knowing the eternal aspect of it all.

I'm so sorry about your little neighbor boy. It's terribly sad. You're right...thank goodness for the gospel. It doesn't make it easier or better, but it helps keep things in perspective. Your children and niece are absolutely adorable in these Easter pictures.
