Aww look at my 4th file! This was taken in April '07. We were at Dan's cousin's house for an Easter Egg hunt. Amelia was 11 months old here. It's crazy, because I feel like she is still my baby, but after seeing her here.... she is SO not a baby anymore! It makes me want a cute little chubby face to hold again! I guess I can be patient for 9 more weeks!

Nuts

Ok I am trying not to count my chickens before they hatch, but we had an offer put in on our house some odd weeks ago, and we accepted, and they are set to close on September 23rd. Now, I know it is not a done deal until they sign the paperwork, and we hand them the keys... but it's looking pretty positive. We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to find a home, and putting an offer in on one, and waiting to hear back on the slow banks, and trying to pack as much as we can, and getting ready for Sweden (because you know they close the day before we leave), and trying to plan Ike's birthday (because we get back from Sweden a week before his birthday) and yada yada yada! On top of that, I have been trying to get my Christmas shopping done and get prepped for the babe. We are quickly going crazy.....

Mortifying Moment

Dan and I were sitting in the parking lot of Cafe Rio in Orem when the dreaded phone call came. "Oh hi," Dan says, "Oh yea it's a total mess, I have been a bachelor all week because my wife has been at girl's camp, but sure you can walk through, just know that it is not clean at all... (he glances in my direction and sees me with my eyes in a glazed over shocked look and my hands over my mouth)... Yea my wife is totally mortified, but sure walk through it." My mind started reeling about the state of my house in that very moment, and I about threw up. My front room had Rock Band all set up because Dan had people over the night before, My kitchen had a sticky floor and dishes in the sink, my laundry room had a waist-high pile of laundry on the floor (at least it was clean laundry, but did they know that?!?), the stairs were full of toys and things that needed to be taken up, Isaac's room had little transformer pieces all over the floor, Isaac's bathroom was a science experiment... not a bathroom, and Amelia's rooms had her books strewn all over the place. My room had all my girl's camp laundry sorted all over the floor, and my bathroom had my make-up covering the entire counter.

Like Dan said, I had been at girl's camp that week and had gotten home the day before too tired and pooped to even THINK about cleaning. So we left the house a mess and went on to our 4th of July family fun activites saying that we would clean it tomorrow, leaving the door unlocked on our way out. BIG MISTAKE!

"Whatever", I said to myself after about an hour of stewing over it "the damage has been done, there is nothing I can do about it now, I just can't worry aout it anymore."

So we are at Dan's parents house, enjoying lunch and he is telling his parents about the experience... "yea so she is at our house and the door was unlocked, she was already in the house, what was I supposed to say? Plus her parents were there to see it too...."

"WHAT!!!!!!" I screamed... "You didn't tell me that part!" So the stewing began again...

Alright, so you've got the obligatory planner, keys, 100 calorie packs, and silly putty. What more could you need? The wierd red ball thingy is a toy we picked up at the Discovery Gateway Musuem. It oozes this green goo when squeezed, it's a must-have as well... to keep the husband quiet in church. :)

New Year's Masquerade!

Nicole invited us to a New Year's Masquerade Party this year. It was a black tie event, so we got to dress up all formal. It had been awhile since we've done anything really fun for New Year's, so we got some babysitters and went. The night included fondue, guitar hero, and waltzing. It was a good mix of people and so it was a fun and interesting night!
